Those individuals who pass the test successfully and are accepted by the BSCAI after a review by the association are awarded the CBSE designation and only have to take a refresher exam every two years assuring they maintain current in new techniques and the science of and professional management of their respective company.

For the CBSE, state-of-art cleaning technology is the key to maintaining your building at a peak level of appearance and cleanliness. And yet, an understanding of cleaning technology is just one facet of the CBSE's credentials. The CBSE is an executive with broad business and management expertise - an executive who ensures that your building's maintenance needs are met smoothly and cost-effectively. In short, placing your building in the hands of a CBSE means having the technical cleaning knowledge and executive experience you expect. It is the responsibility of each CBSE to pass their unique level of expertise and professional ability onto their staff and assure the most advanced and professional techniques are utilized in the cleaning of each client’s building.

To achieve the CBSE designation, building service contractors participate in a unique Certification Program which requires their successful completion of a rigorous, two-day examination. Additionally, they must document their experience and tenure as a building service executive. A minimum of five years in the industry and three years in an executive policy-making position is mandatory for consideration of the CBSE designation. In order to maintain their designation, CBSEs must participate in ongoing, educational activities. These activities keep them apprised of the latest industry developments with respect to management techniques, financial and strategic planning, risk management, and legal issues. The Certification Program is administered by the Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI), a non-profit organization which is dedicated to furthering the professionalism of the industry and whose membership is comprised of building service companies worldwide. EC3 Inc. constantly invests time and money to train and re-train new and existing employees constantly on their technique and nightly duties assuring the best cleaning anywhere in the industry.

CBSE’s are professional executives who actively seek to further the image of the building service industry. These executives strive to provide your building with well-trained cleaning personnel and to use effective techniques for estimating your building's supplies and labor needs. CBSE’s adhere to the BSCAI Code of Ethics, which advocates professionalism and fair business among cleaning contractors.
